TESTIMONALS

Giacomo Franzoso, pianist

"The Online Composers Forum has been a striking surprise for me, because I realized that my experiments in jazz composition, and more profoundly my research in music, have attracted the curiousness of great musicians and teachers like Armen and Marc. The Forum has been as the Latin etymology of the word suggests - a place in which every composer is free to speak about his own and each other's work. I got to this place with my personal vision of composition, which is to try to let ideas come out and find a form. I found a really high level of musical material, very varied in style and formulation. The directing teachers provided the marvelous target of letting everyone receive profound ideas, skills and examples, and suggestions to teach us to never stop researching our own true way of expression. This is, for me, the greatest teaching of this experience: How to search a possible way into ourselves, and then how to put it into music composing."

Ouajdi Cherif, pianist

"It was great to receive feedback from such accomplished players and composers as Armen and Marc. The feedback was detailed and helpful in offering directions and suggestions for improvement of tune and melody writing as well as arranging and instrumentation techniques. Even though the workshop was online, it was great to be able to discuss composition techniques and hear other composers with different writing styles. There was a great sense of community built in such a short time. Thank you Armen and Marc for such a memorable experience."

Bilge Günayd?n, pianist

"I am so pleased to attend this workshop. This online meeting was a very valuable opportunity to me especially in the pandemic conditions. The mentorship that was provided by Armen Donelian and Marc Mommaas was so beneficial. This workshop supported our creativity and encouraged us to have an open-minded approach on composition. Thanks all again!"
